Home, almost
I still want to go back and write more about the trip while it’s fresh in my mind, but right now, sitting at a cafe in Malpensa airport, I am both sad to be leaving Italy and happy and anxious to get back home.
This vacation has been good for me in some ways but not in others. I’ve spent too much money, I’m stressed about work, stressed about travel, and have about a hundred (or at least a dozen) mosquito bites.
But all of it was worth it because it was at the same time calming and also inspiring. I was reminded why I need to write this series of books, I got ideas to address some of the issues I was having with the storyline, and the characters started talking to me again.
Most important, I have some amazing memories with Ryma before she goes off to college. ❤️
